Inspiring the health care community to act on air pollution

Sustainability Consulting

CHALLENGE

Air pollution is a global health emergency causing 6.7 million premature deaths every year.  Our mission was to define strategies that would empower health care professionals (HCPs) around the world to act against air pollution and its damaging effects.

APPROACH

International cultural research

We connected with over 1000 HCPs in 5 nations: UK, India, Bangladesh, Mexico and Ethiopia to understand their professional-personal motivations.

Systems-Thinking Lens

We used landscape mapping alongside other research to unpick the complex inter-dependent forces influencing HCPs.

Defining the path to inspiration and action

A strategic focus for each country, 8 key action areas and a global diagnostic for action.

IMPACT

The research will be presented at COP26 as an important step forward in tackling this global health crisis.
